Decking and garden re-vamp

This garden was designed and laid a few years ago and like many over time became tired and worn. Children and family dogs being the main contributing factor !

The owners wanted some changes to how the garden “worked” to make it a place to enjoy rather than simply use.  The old worn decked area was taken out and a new larger decked area made outside the french doors, this was so they could walk straight out and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun. The area left had new turf laid, the family dogs had dug up the old area.

On the opposite side the garden followed a previously made circular path., this was extended slightly when we moved the old decked area ,and was mainly stones with a few shrubs planted, the owners requested a new border / bed to be made so they could start gardening themselves now they had some more time on their hands. The old stones and membrane were removed, we dug over the soil a little then added an eco-top soil, rolled this flat then added an organic top soil on top, this built up the area and gave a good mix of soils to plant into.

We removed the old stones around the path and added new slightly smaller ones and cleaned up the old slabs to give the whole garden a fresher feel. I was very happy with the final results on this garden.
