More space to enjoy !

This garden was all about making the most of the space. The home owners recently moved in and the previous owners had very different ideas about the garden, although it was a large space it was taken up but over planting of large shrubs and trees. The owners wanted to make a larger lawn for their two young children to enjoy. At the back of the garden was a run down play area and unused area due to two large Oak tree stumps.

We decided to revive the play area, add a large deck in the unused area and lose 70 % of the large shrubs to claim the lawn back. With building work going on at the house we couldn’t do the house rear (deck to cover and decked path leading to pool house) until this was complete but we left it so the rest of the work could just continue on afterwards.

Although the garden isn’t 100% finished due to the building work I wanted to add the pictures and description to show the big changes already made.
