Formal front garden

I enjoyed this design and build project as the home owner wanted ideas to improve her front garden. She ran a business from her home and had regular clients arriving so it needed to be inviting and open, also with a well designed professional feel. The additional request was to have a barrier to stop people walking across the garden.

I decided the design should try and mirror the house, this would give a welcoming feel when people arrived (as if they we’re walking into the home from the street). Adding box hedge (buxus sempervirens) and a buxus topiary cones gave the barrier required while still keeping the area open, soft, formal and welcoming. The path running to the house is softened with a circle to give a sense of space (this also mirrors a circle above the front door on the house), The white squares match the windows on the house and a brick edge keeps a designed look. The white squares will have olive trees planted in in the new year to give the whole area form (height & size) and finish off the design.

Very happy with the final garden.

I would highly recommend Green Bee. Ben listened to our needs and came up with a fantastic and creative design. We now have a front garden that gets complimented on a daily basis. We are now proud of it. Ben is hard working, passionate and committed to doing the best job to a high standard. We will use Ben again on our back garden at some point and look forward to more creativity.
